Closer to the release date of his movie Srimanthudu , actor Mahesh Babu should be more nervous than ever.

The recently released grand epic Bahubali raised the bar really high, in terms of the product and the revenue.

But, just doing justice to his role is not the actor’s only concern. For the first time, Mahesh Babu turns producer with the movie that is scheduled to be released on August 7.

Under the banner of MB Entertainment Private Limited, the actor is co-producing the movie along with C.V. Mohan, Y. Naveen and Y. Ravi Shankar. News is that the actor will produce or co-produce all his future ventures.

Though profit sharing from movie’s revenues was prevalent in the industry when involving stars, this is the first time an actor had taken a legitimate route to acknowledge it. Back to Srimanthudu , if the movie turns out to be a hit, then many actors might just follow in Mahesh’s footsteps.

In spotlight

Clearly, the man of the moment is writer Vijayendra Prasad who has contributed to both the blockbusters, Bahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan .

Both the movies have been doing extremely well in not just the domestic market, but even overseas.

The writer, who usually maintains a low profile, is in the spotlight with news doing the rounds that many Bollywood actors and production houses are getting in touch with the writer.

Speculation is also rife that Mr. Prasad, father of S.S. Rajamouli, may wield the megaphone soon for a multi-starrer.

In the past, he has been the writer for most of director Rajamouli’s movies.
