‘Innovative computing paradigms enhance nation-building’

Delegates from 8 Asia-Pacific countries take part in the meet

The need for innovation and new paradigms of computing was stressed by speakers at the two-day International Conference on Computing Paradigm (ICCP 2015) held at the Don Bosco College in Yelagiri Hills on Friday and Saturday.

Delegates from eight Asia-Pacific countries including China, Korea, Malaysia, Oman and Saudi Arabia participated in the conference. The meet was organised in collaboration with Integrated Intelligence Research (IIR).

Rev. Thaddeus S of Don Bosco College highlighted the dynamics of the conference. He emphasised that innovative computing paradigms enhance nation-building.

The integrated research efforts from various branches of science, engineering or application should help provide solutions for specific problems of the country, he said.

M. Sridharan, CEO, American Megatrends India (AMI) who inaugurated the conference stressed the need for innovation to uplift rural India. The new medical personal healthcare system (one-touch wireless health tracker by AMI was appreciated by the audience.

Sharing knowledge

Sanghyuk Lee of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China said that the conference should build friendship in the process of sharing knowledge.

A panel discussion on research forum for computing paradigm was one of the unique features of the conference, aimed at strengthening the research work and future action. It was chaired by J. Satheeshkumar of Bharathiar University.

A. Clement King of IIR, who is the organizing secretary of ICCP 2015, welcomed the gathering. Jayamary Christuraj, Head-Department of Computer Applications and Prabhagaran, Head-Department of Computer Science coordinated the programme.
