Yadgir CMC told to submit detailed project report of Rs. 28 crore

Following a memorandum submitted by the then president of Yadgir City Municipal Council (CMC) Mohammad Ishaq, vice-president Rachamma Moulali Anapur and other members, to Minister of Urban Development Vinay Kumar Sorake during his visit to the city in February, the Director of Municipal Administration has written to the Deputy Commissioner of Yadgir and Commissioner of CMC.

The letter directs them to submit a detail project report (DPR) of Rs. 28 crore to construct various buildings, including Purbhavana, and employee residential quarters in Yadgir.

According to the letter dated July 14, which made available to The Hindu on Saturday, the members submitted the list of works — a new building for CMC at a cost of Rs. 5 crore, employees’ residential houses at a cost of Rs. 7 crore, purbhavana and pourkarmika bhavana at a cost of Rs. 10 crore, a garden at a cost of Rs. 3 crore and high mask light and other works at a cost of Rs. 3 crore.

It was also instructed that the DPR for the proposed works should be submitted at the earliest.

Confirming the receipt of the letter, sources in the CMC said that the DPR would be submitted within two weeks.

The former president of CMC Lalitha Anapur and other members thanked Mr. Sorake for prompt action.
