Reliance foundation distributes footballs to schools

Reliance Foundation distributed footballs to 32 Zilla Parishad and four municipal schools in a programme held at the District Collector’s camp office here on Saturday.

Participating as chief guest, Collector Babu A. said companies would be doing a great service to promotion of sports and games in educational institutions by donating sports goods as part of their corporate social responsibility activities.

They were also requested to contribute to improvement of facilities at play grounds for encouraging children to actively take part in sporting events. Reliance Foundation district programmer V. Santosh Kumar said schools showing interest in promoting sports were being fully supported by the organisation represented by him.

State Director of Sports B. Hanumantha Rao, District Sports Development Officer P. Ramakrishna and physical education trainers S.K. Rizwana and P. Vanaja were among those present.
