ISLAMABAD:
The National Assembly Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions (Safron) met the other day under the chairmanship of MNA Muhammad Jamaluddin at Parliament House. The committee was briefed over the progress of ongoing development project in Fata being executed by the government departments as well as by international and local non-governmental organisations. The total portfolio of international assistance in Fata is $748.358 million, according to the project director. At present, the directorate of projects is successfully coordinating 21 multi sectoral projects across Fata. Members of the committee posed several questions regarding the projects and showed annoyance over the response received from the officials concerned.
