Partly cloudy skies ahead

LUDHIANA: Following a hot and humid day, several parts of the city received light showers on Saturday.
Maximum temperature was recorded at 33.9ۥC (one degree above normal), while the minimum was 24.6ۥC. Relative humidity was recorded at 92%. The city received 7 mm rainfall.
As per Chandigarh meteorological department, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy for the coming days while maximum and minimum temperatures will dip down to 32ۥC and 25ۥC, respectively.
City residents were in a pleasant mood with many enjoying the light showers.
Asmita Khosla, a resident of Model Town, said, "During day it was quite suffocating till the time it started raining. I grabbed the opportunity to get drenched in the rain for almost half an hour."
Her mother Aradhna Khosla added, "instead of regular meals, we had samosas with a hot cup of tea. It is the best way to enjoy the weather. If the weather remains the same for coming few days, I'll certainly put on a lot of weight due to spicy and fried food," she said.
Simarjeet Kaur of Pakhowal Road said, "I was returning from college when it started raining. Though I hurried home, my phone got wet in the rain."
The rain, however, didn't bring good news for everyone as it rained only in some parts of the city like Kitchlu Nagar, Model Town, Pakhowal Road , Bharat Nagar Chowk while some areas like BRS Nagar , Rajguru Nagar, Aggar Nagar did not get any rain.
