‘The Vampire Diaries’ Spoilers: Is Bonnie Bennett On Her Way Out?

The Vampire Diaries is getting ready for Season 7, and there are new spoilers out now from Kat Graham. She stars on the series as Bonnie Bennett, but the actress has more than the series to keep her busy. She also has a music career and an album in the works.

At the end of Season 6, Kai cast a spell that connected Bonnie to Elena. As long as Bonnie is alive, Elena will remain asleep. This created a way for Nina Dobrev to leave the popular CW series after six seasons.

Kat Graham spoke about the impact that spell will have on Bonnie and Damon’s relationship with Buddy TV.

“You’re going to see that they both have their issues with each other, which isn’t anything new, but they’re actually dealing with it. We’re going to see them dealing with each other in a very direct way.”

That is not all that she teased. She also spoke about the season premiere. Vampire Diaries fans will learn right away what Bonnie wants to do with her life.

“This is a character that’s come back strong and obviously she’s going to want to do right by herself, by Elena and whoever else that she’s lost in the process. She’s going to want to not sacrifice any more. If she lost all of this, she’s going to make it count.”

However, in another interview with Hunger TV, she said some surprising things about the series and the future of Bonnie Bennett. She revealed that she is “not in about a third of this season.” Her schedule does not require her to be on set every day, and that has allowed her to work on making music. Her latest single is “1991.”

Could this mean that Bonnie Bennett on her way out? On the other hand, could an exit by Graham signal the end of the series? If Bonnie dies, Elena will wake up. However, Nina Dobrev has only said she would return for the series finale and not as Elena full time.

Hunger TV asked Graham about her potential return if the series was picked up for Season 8 by CW, and she gave an honest answer.

“I think I was really excited about the idea of doing a season seven, based on the fact that I feel like my character, who was basically in the other dimension for about two years, finally got out, and I knew that the fans felt that the character’s story wasn’t completed. There are storylines with other characters, whether it’s Damon, or other people that the character has scenes with, that they just felt that the character’s relationships had not come full circle or had not fully developed, and wanted to explore that also, I felt the same way. I didn’t feel like the character’s story was done, I felt that there was more that they could do, but I won’t say I would do a Season eight, it really depends on whether I’m fulfilled, and whether we’re like ‘Okay, this story’s been told, and we’re good to go.”

As for Nina Dobrev’s departure, Graham admitted that Nina’s exit was “very weird” for her, but she is happy for her friend. Elena’s sleep does have a huge impact on the town of Mystic Falls during The Vampire Diaries Season 7. Candice Accola teased about the demise of Mystic Falls and Caroline’s relationship with Stefan at Comic-Con.
