Udhampur admn discusses I-Day arrangements

The district administration Udhampur today discussed arrangements for Independence Day function and finalized the venue and programme schedule here at an officers meeting. Chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner,   Angrez Singh Rana, the meeting was Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mr. Rajeev Magotra, Assistant Commissioner Development, Dhananter Singh, Executive Engineers PWD & PDD, District Information Officer, District Youth Service and Sports Officer, Udhampur, District Officers of different departments and senior officers of Army & Police, attended the meeting.It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be held in the premises of Government PG College for Boys ground where the VIP would unfurl the National flag followed by march past of contingents drawn from District Police, SKPA, Forest Protection Force, NCC and students of various schools. The school children would also present cultural programmes reflecting rich cultural heritage and patriotism.Threadbare discussions were held regarding arrangements of seating, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, deployment of buses, PAS and fire-tenders etc.
