Smita Tambe is excited about her first lavani

She is known for her superb portrayals in Marathi films like 'Tukaram' and 'Naati Goti'.
But now versatile actress Smita Tambe is ready to make her presence felt in a different arena. Smita, who will be seen doing her first lavani in marathi film 'Jeet', written by Manjushree Gokhale and directed by Sagar Chavan - with Bhushan Pradhan and Trishala Shah in lead role - shared: ���I have done an item number in 'Deool' earlier, but ���Aana ho raya eka attracha faya��� is my first ever lavani.It was a big challenge to say yes to such a number, where you have to tread the fine line between the obscene and naughty. But I said yes because I wanted to test if I still have the rhythm in me to do justice to such a song,��� she said.

And how difficult was it for an actress of her calibre to get the nuances and nakhras of lavani right? ���I have tried to express each emotion ��� from anger, to naughtiness to shyness ��� in my lavani, which has been choreographed by Chinni and Rekha Prakash. It was a challenge for sure and I���m happy with the way things have turned out.���
