Health check-up at Cubbon Park
Visiting the Cubbon Park this Sunday comes with certain benefits. Besides breathing in fresh air because of the ban on entry of vehicles, you can get yourself checked for BP and diabetes.
The horticulture department, in association with the health and family welfare department, has decided to conduct medical check-up of visitors at subsidised cost.
On offer will be medical consultation to morning walkers, joggers and general visitors.
“Dengue and chikungunya cases are on the rise. Doctors and officials from the health and family welfare department will interact with the public in preventing these diseases. Facilities have also been made to check blood pressure and sugar levels at subsidised costs by the health department,” Mahantesh said.
An Ayush medicinal centre based in Jayanagar will also impart knowledge on ayurveda, homoeopathy, naturopathy and sidda medicines till the evening.

According to Mahantesh Murugod, deputy director of horticulture (Cubbon Park), the health check-up facilities will be available to the public from 5:30 am to 1:00 pm.
