A junior lecturer in a corporate college, S. Haritha (25) died under mysterious circumstances at Gollapudi on Friday.

According to sources, Haritha, a native of Ponnur mandal in Guntur district, had been working as a resident lecturer in a private college for the last four years. She was found unconscious in the hostel room, and the staff shifted her to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.

College management said the lecturer was suffering from ill health for the last few days. However, the victim’s family said that Haritha was doing fine and she never complained of any health problem during her phone conversation made on Thursday. The family members suspected the role of college management in the death and demanded a thorough investigation.

The Bhavanipuram police registered a case of suspicious death and took up investigation.
