Admission dates for FMS evening prog extended

VADODARA: MS University's (MSU) Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) on Friday extended the admission date for its evening MBA programme. The faculty has extended the last date of admission till July 31.
"Many candidates had problems in getting no objection certificates (NOCs) from their respective organizations in a short notice. So, we have extended the admission dates and the NOCs can be submitted at the faculty after their admission," said FMS dean professor J D Jadeja.
Those candidates who have their Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) score card would be given first preference. The vacant seats then would be filled by others.
The faculty has already received 50 applications for the evening MBA programme, which has an intake capacity of 80 seats. The minimum eligibility for candidates seeking admission is 50% at bachelors' level with three years' working experience or self-employment.
It is worth mentioning here that last year the faculty was forced to close its evening MBA programme as it could not consider scores from tests other than CMAT, despite the programme being a self-financed course.
This year, however, the state government has permitted the faculty to fill up the seats that fall vacant after those seats that are filled up based on CMAT score.
