Vikings CB Jabari Price gets 2-game ban after drunken driving arrest

MINNEAPOLIS -- Vikings cornerback Jabari Price was suspended for two games Friday for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Price, who is entering his second season with the team, was arrested for drunken driving after the Vikings' final game of the 2014 regular season, and pleaded guilty to careless driving on April 10. He was sentenced to 30 days of electronic home monitoring and a $300 fine.

"I sincerely apologize to my family, my teammates, the Vikings organization and Vikings fans for the mistake I made last winter," Price said in a statement released by the NFLPA. "I can assure you that it will never happen again. I look forward to returning to helping my team on the field in Week 3."

A seventh-round pick in 2014, Price played mostly special teams in 14 games for the Vikings last season, but saw some brief work at cornerback in five games.
