You’d regularly think of James Bond movies and especially the upcoming Spectre film when you say "Aston Martin". However, providing the cinema scene with British sportscars is not the only thing the automaker does. They also like to keep their spot in the exclusive lifestyle scene, and this special Milano Rapide S does just that.
Considering Aston Martin's reputation, they too need to come up with luxury drills of all sorts. This time around, their Milano branch has partnered up with famed Champagne maker Dom Perignon to offer buyers of their Milano Rapide S sportscar an exclusive optional that consists of a Champagne cellar installed into the boot.
The hand-built, leather-clad trunk is removable and is part of the Rapide S Dom Perignon Deuxieme Plenitude package. It will house three bottles of 1988 Dom Perignon Champagne, two crystal glasses and bottle openers. Just to make sure customers know where their money are going, Aston Martin has decided to take a promotional road trip this month first.
The journey will see the Champagne-filled sportscar driven by selected events in Italy to be showcased to top clients. In August, when the tour is completed, Aston Martin Milano will allow its customers to order the Dom Perignon Deuxieme Plenitude Special Kit for the Aston Martin Rapide.
We still need to sort out how drinking champagne while driving works out for those who actually buy the special kit, but there’s probably a mystery around it we have yet to discover. After all, we’re talking about James Bond worthy lifestyle here; there’s always a secret weapon in case of emergency somewhere hidden in the car.
