Focus on value of education

Kannur University Vice Chancellor M.K. Abdul Khader has stressed the linkages between teaching and the value of knowledge.

Inaugurating the Annual Principals’ Conference held under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS-Ernakulam Region) on Thursday, he elaborated on how teaching should start from knowledge and lead to wisdom. “Wisdom is the ‘amrith’ stored in the vast ocean of knowledge,” he said. KVS Deputy Commissioner S. Selvaraj presided. Assistant Commissioners V. Meenakshi and Johnson Mathew spoke. As many as 38 Principals of Kendriya Vidyalayas under the KVS-Ernakulam Region participated in the three-day conference that concluded on Thursday.
