HYDERABAD: Indian IT giant
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday announced the setting up of a research and development (R&D) centre for cutting-edge research on futuristic technologies in the area of intelligent systems at the International Institute of Information Technology -Hyderabad (IIIT-Hyderabad) campus.
The R&D centre, which is coming up at an investment of Rs 20 crore, has been named after FC Kohli, who was the first chief executive officer of TCS and is often referred to as the father of the Indian software industry due to his contribution to the industry development.
The unit, spread over 60,000 sqft built-up area, will be based in IIIT-Hyderabad’s Himalaya Block B.
