HUDA starts survey to acquire land for Dwarka e-way

GURGAON: HUDA on Thursday began a survey of plots and homes on land that it has to acquire to complete the Dwarka expressway.
The exercise covers over 500 plot or home-owners, who will be reolcated. The survey is being carried out jointly by a HUDA estate officer, land acquisition officer (LAO) and district town planner (DTP).
According Om Prakash, estate officer-1, HUDA, a team of 13 officials has started the survey of land to be acquired, following directions from the Punjab and Haryana high court."So far, we have a list of 502 applicants for allotment of alternate plots, as their land is set to be acquired for the project. We have completed surveys of 130 of these cases on Thursday, and will wind up the exercise within a week," Prakash told TOI.
As part of the exercise, he said they are checking for actual plot measurements, built-up area and verifying revenue records of each oustee on site to be considered for relocation. "We began the survey in New Palam Vihar, and will cover other areas like Kherki Dhaula, Pawala Khusrupur and Choma soon," he said.
Prakash said apart from DTP Sanjay Kumar, LAO Satbir Singh and himself, the survey team has two junior engineers, one sub-divisional officer and seven patwaris. "Once the survey is complete, we'll submit a report to administrator Anita Yadav, who will then launch the re-allotment process on its basis."
HUDA administrator Anita Yadav told TOI that applications have also been sought from land owners who were not part of the petition in the high court against the acquisition.
"A list of petitioners is available on the HUDA website, and displayed on the notice board of the office of the administrator, estate officer-I, LAO, DTP, and tehsildar. Other claimants, whose land was acquired in Kherki Dhaula for the NPR project, can also submit his claims," she said.
