Plantation drive at DAV school

AMRITSAR: DAV International School organised a plantation drive on its premises along with Dr KS Manchanda, charter president, Rotary Club, Amritsar Cantt.

DAV International School organised a plantation drive on its premises along with Dr KS Manchanda, charter president, Rotary Club, Amritsar Cantt. Principal Anjana Gupta and students planted saplings of ‘neem’ along with various types of fruit and flowering plants. Rotary Club president Kulwinder Singh, secretary Mandeep Singh, members NS Tuli, IS Sachdeva, and Sarabjeet Kaur were also present on the occasion. Principal Anjana urged everyone to save the environment. Dr Manchanda said, “Trees hold our ecosystem that plays a vital role in development. The area under forest cover has decreased up to a dangerous level in Punjab. All organisations must join to fight the environmental challenges.” — TNS
