Jayasurya sets aside 40 days for next film
Jayasurya, who is known to go the extra mile to prepare for his roles, is doing something unprecedented for his upcoming film Su… Su… Sudhi Valmeekam.
The actor has apparently set aside all other commitments to dedicate a whole month and a half as preparation time for the film, which will see him play several stages in the life of the protagonist.
To such an extent that he spent a few days in Mumbai shopping for the costumes of his character Sudhi by himself.

Needless to say, the film’s director Ranjith Sankar is pretty impressed with the dedication of his lead actor. “Actors seldom spend time shopping for the costumes of their characters and leave it to the designer. Jayan took the initiative to go to Mumbai to get them, as there are more choices there. As a filmmaker, what more can I ask for?” Ranjith says.
Su..Su…Sudhi… is a biography and portrays the story of a person’s life from age four to forty. “Jayasurya plays the ages from 20 to 40 years. Expectedly, it calls for thorough physical and mental preparation,” says Ranjith.
Ranjith and Jayasurya had teamed up for the comedy social drama Punyalan Agarbathis almost two years ago. The shoot of Su… Su…Sudhi... will start on the first day of Malayalam month Chingam, on which Ranjith had previously started shooting his Punyalan Agarbathis and Varsham as well.
Jayasurya recently wrapped up the shoot of Nadirsha’s Amar Akbar Anthony.
