BHOJPUR: A child lost his life in a road accident in Dhankuta on Wednesday.

Police identified the deceased as 11-year-old Binod Magar.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, Magar was trying to climb into a tractor (Ko 1 Ta 6780) heading towards Rajarani from Maunabudhuk when the incident occurred.

Magar, who sustained serious injuries on his head after being hit by the tractor tail, breathed his last while being rushed to a local primary health centre, police informed.

Police said that they have impounded the tractor and arrested its driver for investigation.
