Zarwani waterfall reopens for visitors

Department of Forest, Government of Gujarat has taken a decision to re open zarwani waterfall for public .
The seasonal waterfall that realives every year in monsoon period attract great number of visitors.
Located at nandod near Kevadia Colony in Narmada district of Central Gujarat, the waterfall was prohibited for public visit recently by local Range Forest Officer following incidents of drowning.
Later the higher forest officer ( local DFO) intervened and decided to reopen the place for public by deploying rescue staff. Accordingly, 10 local local youths are trained and deployed for rescue job in case of drowning.
The waterfall has been now opened for visitors.
Gujarat has no permenent waterfall like some other states. It has only a few seasonal waterfalls mainly in eastern belt. Ratan mahal, Gira, Hathni mata and Zarwani are some of the popular waterfalls that go alive during monsoon and winter period.
