Thiruvalluvar University V-C completes 3-year term

With P. Gunasekaran completing his three-year tenure as Vice-Chancellor of the Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore on Wednesday, the duties of the V-C will be performed by a Conveners’ Committee which was constituted by the Syndicate recently.

Dr. Gunasekaran told newspersons that the Conveners’ Committee will be headed by Apoorva, Higher Education Secretary, and comprise two other members, i.e., M. Devadoss, Director of Collegiate Education, Chennai and H. Munawar Jhan, Member of the Syndicate of the Thiruvalluvar University.

The committee will perform the duties of the V-C till a new Vice-Chancellor takes charge, Dr. Gunasekaran said.
