CRPF cop’s wife found murdered in Allahabad

The role of the ASI’s younger brother-in-law Anil Kushwaha is suspected.

A 30-year-old woman, wife of an assistant sub-inspector in Central Reserve Police Force, was found murdered in her rented accommodation under Industrial Area police station area of the district on Tuesday. The role of the ASI’s younger brother-in-law Anil Kushwaha is suspected, the police said, adding that the victim’s husband, currently posted in West Bengal, is yet to lodge a formal complaint in the incident.

According to police, Pushpa Kushwaha, wife of Sunil Kushwaha, used to live with her two sons — Sahil (10) and Adarsh (8) — in Shantipuram Colony. On Tuesday, Pushpa sent her sons to school at around 7 a.m. Around 10 am, Pushpa’s brother, Shiv Ram, a resident of Kheeri area, reached her house along with his wife and children. “When he reached there, he found the channel gate open. Pushpa was lying unconscious in a pool of blood. She was rushed to a local hospital, from where she was referred to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital.

There, the doctors declared her brought dead,” said Inspector (Industrial Area), Swami Nath.
