ISTANBUL

The Turkish Spor Toto Super League club, Besiktas, is set to finalize the transfer of Porto's Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma for two years plus one season, it was announced Wednesday.

According to the club’s statement, the Istanbul side was finalizing the transfer of 31-year-old Quaresma as agreed with the player and his club Porto.

The Portuguese winger will get €3.3 million ($3.6 million) salary for the first two years. In addition, the Turkish club will pay €1.2 million ($1.3 million) transfer fee for Porto.

It was also announced that Quaresma will earn €1.7 million ($1.8 million) as annual salary for the 2017-18 season if he plays at least 30 matches during the 2016-17 season.

Quaresma has been playing for Porto since January 2014. Last season, he scored 10 goals and produced seven assists in 43 appearances in Porto.

This is Quaresma's second spell in Besiktas as it is remembered that he was signed by Black Eagles in the summer of 2010. He played for Besiktas until January 2013 when he moved to the Emirati club Al-Ahli over a free transfer.

During his career, he has played for Portuguese sides Sporting Lisbon and Porto, Spanish La Liga heavyweights Barcelona, Italian Serie A club Inter, English Premier League giants Chelsea, Turkish club Besiktas and Emirati team Al-Ahli.
