A meeting to review the arrangements for celebration of Independence Day was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Doda Bhupinder Kumar.Senior Superintendent of Police, Z. N Manhas besides other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.The meeting decided to organize the main function in Sports Stadium, where the chief guest will unfurl the tricolor and take salute at the March past contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, FPF, NCC and School Children. It was also decided that a colorful cultural programme will be presented by the School Children on the occasion.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding the arrangements for security, drinking water, power supply at the venue, cleanliness and sanitation of the town and venue, barricading of the venue, seating arrangements etc.It was also decided that the function will start with the Shehnai Vadan by the District Information Centre Doda. DC impressed upon the officers to put in place all the arrangements well in time for smooth celebration of the Independence Day.
