A new song from Bangistan, starring Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat, was released recently. Titled Maula, the track has a secular message to put across. The line 'Mera koi dharam nahin tha jab main chhota bachcha tha' from the song is evident of the same.

The song deals with the equation between Hindus and Muslims, and how religion is not the be-all and end-all of life. With a backdrop of communal riots, Ritiesh Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat look intense in the song. The lyrics have been penned by Puneet Krishna, and Rituraj Mohanty and Ram Sampath have lent their voice to this emotional song.

The story of Bangistan revolves around two wannabe terrorists who decide to swap their religion in order to finish the other community. The film is a satirical comedy, which will see Riteish playing a Muslim character and Pulkit, a Hindu character.

Directed by Karan Anshuman and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani, the film also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Arya Babbar. Bangistan is set to release on July 31 this year.
