Amdavadis socialize over pets
You've heard of pet parties and pet spas, however, these have now given rise to socializing amongst a lot of people yes you read right all those who thought that the city offers no scope to meet new, like-minded people, probably aren't pet parents.
The sight of young mothers bonding at their kids' school, over the children's studies and extra curriculars is not an unusual sight, but now, the sight of pet parents bonding over their pets' health and grooming issues isn't an uncommon sight either!
BONDS FOR LIFE
They say that the only things wrong with pets is that they don't live forever but even in their short lives, they happen to help their humans forge bonds for life! In one such case out of many , college student Nrityay Mehta met his best friend forever Nimitt Patel.
He says, “I had taken my pet Simba to the vet once for a gastro-infection and met Nimitt who was also there for the same ailment. We got them treated together and started talking and exchanging tips on how to best look after pets. We have been the best of friends since then! And so have both our pets, Simba and Blossom.“ What helped these two was the common worry that had hit them both, owing to their pets health problems. "Gastro is a serious thing to happen to a dog and so we were equally worried. That is what got us through the fact that only we both knew how traumatizing it was for us to see our pets go through this."
WALKS TURN TO DINNER
This all-girl quartet met each other outside the Jogger's Park near Commerce Six Roads and have since then been great friends. Says Sohini Mehta, who runs a fashion design business from home, "We are all around the same age with different breeds of dogs and about a year and half ago we formed this little gang of girls. I was walking my Labrador when Shubhra came along with her Lab too and they began to play . We got talking and hit it off and promised to meet the next day . I got my friend Niyati along who has an adorable German Shephard and we began walking together everyday . Shaili joined us a few months later in the same way . Today , our friendship is beyond walking our pets but of course, they are an integral part of this bond."

BEST FRIENDWINGMAN
It is common knowledge that pets can make the best, most trusted wingmen ever! Not only are they extremely faithful, you also don't have to be insecure of them stealing your guy or girl away! Chuckles Nrityay , "He's the cutest way to attract girls, however, a lot of times I've driven away girls by paying more attention to Simba than to them", he laughs. However, on a serious note, there are quiet a lot of people who met their better halves, all thanks to their pets. Says Hrishi Joshi, who recently moved to the city from Mumbai "I was having a hard time adjusting to the city since everything is a little different here and I missed my dog back home. Once I was walking along a park near my house and saw this super cute girl walking her equally adorable Labrador. I went and started playing with the Lab and we ended up chatting together."
So, if you're looking to meet people who can ramble about their pets as incessantly as you do, grab your pets and their leashes and rush to the nearest park. You never know what your best friend might bring for you.
