NASHIK: A 27-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband in the wee hours of Tuesday following an argument between the two in their Shivajinagar house, the police said.
Officials at the Gangapur police station said Sanjay Raghunath Wagh (34), a resident of Shivajinagar near Meena Thackarey garden, stabbed Vaishali Sanjay Wagh with a pair of scissors following an argument over a relationship she allegedly had outside marriage.

This was the seventh murder to be reported in the Shivajinagar area in the last fortnight.
Yet another murder in the Shivajinagar area of the city has brought the tally to seven in just 15 days.
“The couple had a tiff on Monday night . They had been fighting over the issue for the past one year. The husband suspected that Vaishali was having an affair with another person. And despite his objection, she did not relent,” an official in the Gangapur police station said.
Wagh had even sent his wife to her parents’ for a few months but later her brother requested him to get reunited, assuring him that she would not repeat the incident, the official added.

The couple then started living separately, away from the wife’s in-laws, but the problem persisted. “On Monday night, the couple again had an ugly spat over the same issue. Around 12.45am, Wagh picked up a pair of scissors and allegedly stabbed her. He then approached the Gangapur police station and admitted to the crime. We have registered a complaint,” the official said.
A team of police personnel was immediately sent on the spot to verify the facts. “The woman was found dead and her body was sent to the government civil hospital for post-mortem. The accused was arrested and produced in a local court on Tuesday afternoon,” the official said.
The city has witnessed as many as 32 murders since January. There have been seven murders so far in July. Last year, the city had witnessed 13 murders.
