AHMEDABAD: Police nabbed two persons who were involved in firing on a land-broker's office in Odhav on Monday. Officials of JCP Sector-II squad said a team led by sub-inspector HV Sisara got the information that Atulsinh Chauhan, 25, a resident of Nava Naroda, and Dineshgiri Goswami, 37, a resident of Vastral (both natives of Uttar Pradesh) were caught near Odhav fire station while passing in a car.
The two men were found in possession of a country-made gun along with four cartridges.
Early on Monday morning, two bike-borne men had fired two rounds on the office of Harindra Patel at Viratnagar. Nobody was hurt in the incident but the police suspected that the firing was carried out to intimidate Patel, allegedly an associate of ‘Fracture Gang’.
“During primary questioning, Dineshgiri Goswami confessed to his involvement in the incidents of murder and robbery for which he was caught earlier by Vatva police, and an abduction incident in Naranpura. The accused are brothers-in-law, ” said police official.
