Bayer CropScience on Tuesday posted a 1.47 per cent decline in its net profit at Rs 106.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, due to rise in expenses. The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 108.5 crore in the same period of 2014-15. Income from operations during the quarter under review rose to Rs 1,398.7 crore from Rs 1,200.7 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal, as per the company's BSE filing.
In April this year the company opened a multi-crop breeding station at Karnal in Haryana. Bayer CropScience operates in three business segments- crop protection, bio-science and environmental science offering range of products and service backup for modern, sustainable agriculture as well as for non-agricultural applications.
