#WellOfDeath One-Year-Old Dead, 5 Others Injured After Stuntman Crashes Into Crowd

The cheerful and lively Royal Anand Mela in Botad, Gujarat suddenly came to a horrifying standstill after a girl was killed and five others were injured as a rider performing  in the 'Well Of Death' stunt lost control and crashed onto the spectators. The stuntman was riding a Yamaha bike. The Police said the incident took place at around 7 pm on Saturday.

The tragic accident happened after the rear tire of the stuntbike burst during a performance. Police said the bike hit a woman named Setu Bharwad who was holding her one-year-old daughter, Urvi and few others who were standing beside her. However the stuntman escaped unharmed and fled the scene.  

The woman and her child were rushed to the nearby Civil hospital where the doctors declared the child dead-on-arrival. Sub Inspector K A Morya who is in-charge of the investigation said, “We have launched a search for the rider. We will be able to find him soon.”
