A Mumbaikar was returning home from his guitar class. It was only his second music class, and he had just begun learning the instrument. As fate would have it, he now has inspiration that will last him a lifetime. The autorickshaw driver who was taking him home struck up a conversation with him, and he also struck a chord.

As it turned out, the driver knew all the nitty-gritties of the instrument, and had had a rolling band almost a decade ago. He had been a professional musician, had played in restaurants and bars, and had even played on the streets - all of it back in the 90s. Then his devil-may-care life took a turn, he got married and found himself an honest living driving an auto.

But as they say music has no age, and even ten years later a passenger with a guitar was enough to make this autowallah break into a song. Soon after the ride was over, the autowallah asked if he could try his hand at the instrument. Sure enough, he started playing the background score from Sholay, and his fingers strummed the strings like it was yesterday that he had practised it. Here's the video:

Death of a dream? Doesn't seem like it. The boy with the guitar wrote a blog post about the whole incident that garnered a lot of attention. On his blog, he has mentioned that he now has offers for a few gigs for the autowallah. And in the comments section, there is a buzz about buying the autowallah a brand new guitar too!
