A rollover crash on the Interstate 40 just west of Flagstaff left one person dead and five others injured Monday afternoon, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The single-vehicle crash happened just after 1:20 p.m. on westbound I-40 at mile marker 217 when the vehicle traveled off the roadway left and rolled off right, according to DPS.

Troopers said A'Liyah Yarbrough, 18, from Pittsburg, Calif., was ejected from the car during the rollover, and died from her injuries. A second person was also ejected and sustained serious injuries, said Quentin Mehr, a spokesman for DPS.

A medical helicopter arrived at the scene just before 2 p.m., which resulted in the westbound lanes closing for the chopper, Mehr said. Others on the scene were also injured but no other information on their conditions was immediately available, according to the department.
