Actor Nikkhil Chaddha, who was last seen in the TV show Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja, has changed his name to Reyaansh Bhatia. However, it’s heart over head as he has changed the name as an ode to his mother and not because of numerology.

The actor explains, “Bhatia is my mother’s maiden surname. My parents separated when I was just one. I haven’t seen my father’s face and it’s my mom who has celebrated my successes with me and pulled me through my lows.
She has made me the man I am today. Using my father’s surname made no sense to me and changing it to my mother’s was in my mind since a long time. I finally did it on my mother's birthday. The procedure has started and the change will be effective soon.” So, that’s about the surname. Ask him if he consulted any numerologist while finalising the first name and he replies, “No. ‘R’ is my rashi alphabet. I was named Nikkhil by my maternal grandmother, who didn’t refer the birth chart then. My mother suggested the new name and the vibrations seemed positive and were in tandem with my birth chart.”
Others who recently altered the spellings of their names:
Guunjan and Vikkas Manaktala:
While Vikkas Manaktala has added an extra ‘K’ in his first name, Guunjan has added a ‘U’ in her maiden name. Guunjan says, “After marriage, I had to change my surname and I consulted a numerologist for the same. We have embarked on a new journey and the changed spellings will exude positive energies.” Vikkas adds, “My fascination with the ‘science of numerology’ has made me add a ‘K’ to my name.”

Juuhi Babbar Sonii:
Actor Anup Soni’s cousin introduced his wife Juuhi to a numerologist, who suggested her to change the spelling. “It was not on a commercial ground, but on a personal level that the advice was given. Whenever someone advises to do something for better health, don’t we follow the advice? So, anything for betterment should be adapted.” Is she feeling any positive changes post the new spelling? “I am not expecting a miracle to happen. But I am approaching life more positively,” she replies.
