YEREVAN, JULY 20, ARMENPRESS. Leader of the second in the Turkish parliament People’s Republican Party (RPP) Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu publicized his main condition for forming coalition with the ruling “Justice and Development” party (JDP).

As “Armenpress” reports, citing Turkish “Chum Hurriyet” newspaper, Kılıçdaroğlu has announced that the JDP must punish the officials who have committed illegal things.

“Our main condition is the elimination of the impunity. Not demanding responsibility for illegal things is equal to elimination of RPP”, he said. Kılıçdaroğlu added that forming a coalition with them depends on to what extent JDP agrees with them over elimination of illegal things.

Such a condition for forming a coalition government is connected with the corruption scandal on December 17, 2013, when 4 members of the Turkish Government were exposed including the major corruption deals by the son, bridegroom and daughter of the then Turkish Prime Minister, current President  Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Erdoğan had declared that followers of Fethullah Gülen’s ideology of modern Islam are behind that incident, who wants to topple his government. Though the 4 participants of the corruption scandal had been immediately retired by Erdoğan’s assignment, the lawsuits filed by the prosecution against them were canceled later.
