Chief Minister K. Charandrasekhar Rao on Saturday assured 19-year-old C. Prathyusha, a victim of domestic violence by her father and step-mother, of L.B. Nagar, here, that the State government would take care of her welfare and education and construct a house for her.

The Chief Minister along with his wife K. Shobha, daughter K. Kavitha, who is also Nizamabad MP, Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy, Ranga Reddy district Collector Raghunandan Rao, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand and others visited the girl being treated in a private hospital at Saroornagar and offered all help. He promised to marry her off with his money after she completes her education.

Speaking to the girl in the hospital, the Chief Minister tried to infuse confidence in the disturbed girl stating that he would take her to his home immediately after her discharge and get her admitted into a good hostel and make arrangements for continuation of her study. “Forget the past as a dreadful dream,” he told the girl.

The girl told the Chief Minister that she is interested in pursuing B.Sc. Nursing course and pleaded with him not to let her father and step-mother out of jail as she is still scared of them. The Chief Minister said action would be taken against the two as per law.
