The Akhila Karnataka Valmiki Nayaka Mahasabha has opposed lifting of ban on ‘Valmiki Yaaru’, a book authored by Narayanacharya. Mahasabha president M. Narasimhaiah said in response to the sentiments of public, the government had earlier banned the book. Now, it has withdrawn the ban order based on recommendations of the Additional Advocate General. “The AAG has said that the ban order is ‘not in accordance with law’ and to withdraw it. We demand that the government issue fresh ban order as advised by the AAG,” he said.
