Hyderabad: A 35-year-old woman died in Golnaka after consuming excess alcohol on Sunday. The woman came home after consuming alcohol and slept on the verandah on Saturday night. Her family found her dead on Sunday morning.
Police said that Padma, 35, a resident of Vaddera Basthi in Bharatnagar, lost her husband some years ago. She was staying with her mother-in-law in a rented house and was addicted to alcohol.
On Saturday, Padma went to Medchal to see her daughter, who is married. She came back by evening. “She came home drunk and had an argument with her mother-in-law. And she again went out to have liquor. She returned home at around 8.30 pm and slept on the verandah while her mother-in-law slept inside,” said Amberpet DI Ravinder Reddy.
Her mother-in-law found her dead on Sunday morning and with the help of neighbours informed the police. Police registered a case.
