4.0 magnitude tremor jolts Uttarakhand
Dehradun, July 19: Tremor of mild intensity was felt in the Chamoli district, Rudraprayag and the adjoining parts of Uttarakhand after a 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck on early Sunday morning.
According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the tremor was recorded at 5:18 am at a depth of 26 kms.
Dr Vinit Sharma, one of the resident of Rudraprayag district told OneIndia, "bad weather and early morning tremor led to the panic among the people, living in the Himalayan state."
Beside this, cloudburst was also reported in Almora on Sunday morning.
Though no casualty has been reported till now.
