After a brief hiatus, the popular reality show Bathuku Jataka Bandi returns on Zee Telugu. However, while the earlier segment was anchored by film actress Sumalatha, now another actress, Jeevita Rajasekhar, has taken over as host.
Unlike other regular shows that offer prizes for correct replies to a question or for breaking into a dance or song, Bathuku Jataka Bandi, with its direct and serious involvement with the lives of participants, had been a major success in its introductory spell. The innovative concept became a common platform for estranged couples and family members to sort out their conflicts and in several such instances, helped them get back together.
Sumalatha’s anchoring did help quite a few participating families in the show by way of counselling and dispute settlement and the show also extended legal and psychological help when required. According to Zee Telugu, the show in its earlier season helped unite more than 50 families.
Bathuku Jataka Bandi returned last week with Jeevita Rajasekhar, and is scheduled for telecast from Monday to Friday at 12 noon.
“Life is simple and short and in this period, we should live a happy and harmonious life, setting aside negative emotions like anger, anxiety, ego and fights,” says Jeevita.
