Chirag Khurana backed up his six-wicket haul on Friday with 86 (103b, 10x4) in the second innings to help Nelson post a one-wicket win over Vijay CC on day three of the TNCA first division Group B league match at the IC-Guru Nanak ground on Saturday. Chirag and Srinivasan (48) put on 91 for the fifth wicket even as R. Ashwin and M. Mohammad tried to turn the tide in Vijay’s favour with four wickets each.

At IIT-Chemplast, Jayant Yadav picked up four wickets as ICF folded for 272, handing Jolly Rovers a first innings lead of 134. Sudhan Kandepan top-scored for ICF with 78 (131b, 9x4, 1x6).

Riding on wicketkeeper S. Karthik’s 82 (56b, 5x4, 3x6) in the second innings, Rovers set a target of 302. In the Group A clash at MRF-Pachaiyappa’s, Globe Trotters secured a four-wicket victory against UFCC to take its tally to 21 in the league.

At CPT-IP, 18-year-old off-spinner R. Sai Kishore’s six for 82 helped Alwarpet take the crucial first innings lead against India Pistons, and join Globe Trotters at the top of the points table. Ganapathi Chandrasekar’s 77 (95b, 12x4, 1x6) and S. Harish Kumar’s 54 (30b, 3x4, 6x6) were the highlights of Pistons’ innings.

At IC-Guru Nanak:
