Sabya-Louboutin collaboration to open ICW

In major news for the India fashion fraternity, India Couture Week 2015 will open in Delhi on July 29 with a creative collaboration between couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee and French footwear designer Christian Louboutin.
The designer’s signature red soles, which are a must-have for any fashion connoisseur and have been immortalized in pop culture by many celebrities, will be seen on the Indian ramp as part of a unique shoe collection in Sabyasachi’s show.
Confirming the news, Sabyasachi says, “It is indeed a privilege to be chosen to open the week. This year, the show will be even more special as the iconic red soles by Christian Louboutin will be seen on my ramp. It will be a unique shoe collection, resulting from a first-time creative collaboration between Louboutin and me.” FDCI president Sunil Sethi adds, “We are delighted that Sabyasachi is opening the Couture Week. His collaboration with Christian Louboutin brings to Delhi a bonanza of design expertise and this will be a big treat for fashion connoisseurs in the country."
To mark the collaboration, Louboutin will be in Delhi for the show later this month. However, this isn’t the first time the French designer will be seen hobnobbing with the fashion fraternity. Last year, he was the special front row guest at the finale of the India Fashion Week in October.
