Cech mate

Laurent Koscielny has claimed Arsenal's back four will be “more serene” thanks to the arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea.

The French defender will start in front of Cech for the first time in Singapore on Saturday when the former Stamford Bridge keeper makes his debut against Everton in the Final of the Barclays Asia Trophy.

And Koscielny can already tell it's going to be a profitable partnership as he taps into Cech's experience.

“Petr has played 11 years in England, and made more than 300 appearances in the Premier League, and has won a lot of trophies.

“He is professional, you felt that in his first training session. He talks a lot, and his position that's very important. He will do well with us and when you have a good keeper like this behind you, you are more serene.”

Bellerin extends Gunners stay

Hector Bellerin

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerinhas signed a new long-term deal at the Emirates, the club have confirmed.

The Spaniard played in 20 of the Gunners' 38 Premier League appearances last term, and has committed his future to the north London outfit.

He made one appearance in his debut 2013-14 season having joined for Barcelona, in the League Cup, before heading to Watford for an eight-game loan spell.

An injury to Mathieu Debuchy last season gave him his chance at right-back, and he impressed with his performances, scoring twice in 28 games in all competitions.

The pacy defender recently insisted he would not 'do a Fabregas' and head back to Barcelona.

Baggies eye Gnabry

Serge Gnabry takes on Niall Keown

West Brom boss Tony Pulis is hoping to snap up Arsenal prospectSerge Gnabry on a season-long loan.

Germany under-21 winger Gnabry will be farmed out to give him Premier League experience to help his Arsenal career.

Pulis has been trying to sign QPR winger Matty Phillips but the club is in the middle of a potential takeover and they have yet to come up with the £8m fee.

Gnabry made his Arsenal debut in a League Cup tie in September 2012 before something of a breakthrough season in 2013/14.

However, last term was severely hampered by a serious knee injury as he failed to make a single appearance for Arsene Wenger's men.

Gourcuff interest

Yoann Gourcuff

Arsenal are also weighing up a move for out-of-contract midfielder Yoann Gourcuff.

The former Lyon man is a free agent and, according to talkSPORT , is attracting interest from Liverpool and Arsenal.
