ISLAMABAD: Committee chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman today announced the sighting of moon for the month of Shawwal.

The decision to celebrate Eidul Fitr on July 18 (Saturday) was announced by Mufti Munib after chairing a meeting of the central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee in Islamabad.

Eidul Fitr congregations will be held at open places and mosques across the country tomorrow.

Eidul Fitr marks the end of holy month of Ramazan for Muslims around the world. Also, security has been beefed up in different parts of the country including Islamabad and Lahore to avoid any untoward incident.
