Protect government schools: MDMK

To mark the 113th birth anniversary of K. Kamaraj, a former Chief Minister, the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) State youth wing secretary V. Eswaran has asked the State Government to protect government schools. The MDMK activists organised a campaign here on Wednesday against conversion of government school buildings to various department offices.

He said that a government higher secondary school building at Madukkarai had been converted to a taluk office, and school buildings at Tatabad and R.S. Puram to commercial complexes.
