2016 Arizona Concours d’Elegance Honors Italian Design House Zagato

The Arizona Concours d’Elegance, the exclusive celebration of fine automobiles held annually at the historic Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, has announced that at the 2016 event Andrea Zagato will be an honored guest and his renowned design house, Carrozzeria Zagato, will be spotlighted with its own featured class called ‘Coachwork of Zagato.’

One of the most famous and esteemed Italian design houses, Milan-based Carrozzeria Zagato, founded in 1919,  is known for its expressive designs created for many prestigious and famous car companies including Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley, Lamborghini and Porsche, among others.

At the third-annual Arizona Concours d’Elegance, scheduled for Sunday, January 24, 2016, the company’s artistry and illustrious past will be highlighted by an expected one dozen Zagato-designed vehicles on display – while Mr. Zagato offers perspective about his family’s nearly 100-year-old design firm and insight into the present and future of car design.

The 2016 Arizona Concours d’Elegance at the Arizona Biltmore will once again kick off the annual Classic Car Week, which takes place every January in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Held in the intimate setting of the legendary resort’s manicured inner lawns, the Concours will host a magnificent collection of 90 vintage automobiles in more than a dozen standing classes to be judged during the event, culminating in Best of Show.

Besides Coachwork of Zagato, two other featured classes have been designated for the 2016 Arizona Concours:  Duesenberg and Exceptional Cars of Great Britain.
