Jagannath Yatra taken out in Sundernagar

SUNDERNAGAR: A procession was taken out on the occasion of the Jagannath Yatra from the Purana Bazar locality and which concluded at Jangambag here today.

Sundernagar, July 17

A procession was taken out on the occasion of the Jagannath Yatra from the Purana Bazar locality and which concluded at Jangambag here today.

As per the tradition, the procession started from the Handeti temple in Purana Bazar. A large number of devotees accompanied the procession in which a wooden chariot carrying the idol of Lord Jagannath was pulled by devotees.

The yatra concluded at the Jangambag temple after covering a distance of about 5 km. Community lunch was organised at Jangambag on the occasion. A large number of women and children were seen accompanying the procession.
