The funeral of one of two men who died after a sword attack in Belfast last week has taken place.

Colin 'Bap' Lindsay died at the scene at Kirkistown Walk in the Belvoir estate on Wednesday 8 July.

Stanley Wightman, who was critically injured in the attack, died in hospital two days later.

Albert Armstrong, who had already been charged with Mr Lindsay's murder, faced court again on Friday where he was also charged with Mr Wightman's murder.

The 46-year-old accused, from Mahee Close in the Belvoir estate, appeared before Newtownards' Magistrates via videolink from Maghaberry Prison.

Mr Armstrong had previously been charged with the attempted murder of Mr Wightman, but since the 52-year-old's death on 10 July, that charge has now been amended to murder.

Mr Lindsay was a senior member of the Ulster Defence Association (UDA) but police have ruled out paramilitary involvement in the attack.
