Actress Mishi’s bail in fraud case extended

Rawalpindi - An Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) extended pre-arrest bail of renowned actress and TV anchor Mishi Khan till July 30 in money fraud case here on Thursday.
New Town police on July 4 booked Mishi Khan for swindling a lady doctor in Satellite Town.
The actress obtained pre-arrest bail from a court of law.
According to details, ASJ Rana Zahid took up Mishi Khan money fraud case during which Raja Nazir Advocate, the counsel for Mishi, pleaded the court to grant extension to his client in the case.
The judge granted extension in pre-arrest bail to Mishi Khan, who appeared before the court in person. Tanveer Advocate appeared before the court on behalf of Dr Afshan Khan, the applicant.
Mishi Khan along with Waseem Shehzad, a manager of an Islamabad-based HR marketing firm, allegedly took Rs 450,000 from Dr Afshan Khan for running her advertisements campaign on media but later did not do so.
Dr Afshan lodged a complaint with CPO Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, who held inquiry into the allegations.
Later New Town police booked Mishi Khan and Waseem Shehzad for swindling the lady doctor in light of inquiry report submitted by DSP New Town Faisal Salim.
Mishi Khan had denied that she took amount from the doctor.
