Vasan to tour State demanding prohibition

Says TMC’s focus will be to prevent youth from taking to liquor

July 17, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - THANJAVUR:

Tamil Maanila Congress leader G.K. Vasan has promised to tour the State from August 3 to create a liquor-less Tamil Nadu.

Speaking at Kamarajar birth anniversary celebrations organised by the party here on Wednesday, Mr. Vasan pointed out that Kamaraj rule marked the high point in administration in the State when the late leader chartered schemes that envisaged the development of all sections of society.

With those lofty ideals in mind, the TMC had been formed and would strive for educational revolution, industrial revolution, and agricultural revolution for the overall development of the State, Mr. Vasan said.
